<Poem>
流落征南將，
曾驅十萬師。
罷歸無舊業，
老去戀明時。
獨立三朝識，
輕生一劒知。
茫茫漢江上，
日暮復何之。

<Translation>
FINISHED and done with are those days in which you com-manded that expedition against the south.
Once you led vast armies,
Now you return home dismissed and dispossessed.
Yet in your old age you can look back on the glorious exploits of the past
(And recollect) how your presence alone kept the Border Marches in peace and quiet.
You who held your life so lightly sword in hand,
How vast are the stretches of the Chiang and the Han
At sunset where will you be?
